The Black Broadway on U: A Transmedia Project was selected out of the 170 grant applications that National Public Programming Consortium received to participate in their inaugural, six-week 360 Digital Incubator Program with 7 other new media projects in New York City. The new funding initiative is designed to identify innovative storytellers and to generate quality serial, digital and multi-platform content for television and the Web. After the incubation process, the projects will pitch to a “live” judging panel on April 23, where only 3 projects will receive pilot license grants of up to $150,000 from NBPC.
